Could four-star Jason Harris be joining brother Jalen at Arizona?
As the Arizona Football team re-shifts its focus to the 2020 recruiting class, could the Wildcats land four-star Jalen Harris?
We’re officially wrapping up the recruiting class of 2019 and as the Wildcats are just about done, the focus now shifts to 2020 and a few of their top targets. One of those being four-star defensive player and two-sport star, Jason Harris.
Does the name sound familiar? It should!
Arizona Wildcats
For those needing a little history lesson, Jason is the younger brother to current Wildcat Jalen Harris, and the son to Wildcat legends Sean and Cha-Ron Harris. Sean played during the ‘Desert Swarm’ days, and mother Cha-Ron was a standout at basketball.
Talk about being blessed! When it comes to athleticism, the Harris’ have it, and it’s clearly evident in Jason’s ability as well everytime he steps onto the gridiron or the hardwood.
Having been a top-priority for Arizona for some time now, that surely hasn’t changed as Kevin Sumlin has become head coach now too.
Now about to enter his senior season, the young Harris will certainly have his choice of schools when all is said and done.
Among the schools recruiting Jason are; Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, USC and Arizona among others. Normally, that’s some tough competition to overcome if you’re Arizona, but perhaps the family connection could be the difference in this one!
Well, according to his brother Jalen, he’s excited about the potential to play alongside Jason! Especially as the younger Harris was on campus this weekend…

Getting a player like Jason would be huge for Arizona, as he is a tremendous athlete that can do so many things well!
At 6-feet-7-inches and 220 pounds, that is HUGE frame, plus, he’s also a fantastic basketball player as well! Because he’s a two-sport star, it’ll be interesting to see how that potentially plays out in his recruitment moving forward too!
One thing we do know is that because he’s also a great football player, he has the potential to be something really special, especially if he were to play for the Cats. At Higley High School this past year, Harris had 32 tackles (28 solo), 11 tackles for loss and nine sacks according to Maxpreps!
Now that’s a pass rush we could use!
Just take a look at these highlights here and tell me you’re not impressed!
At Zona Zealots, we are excited to watch the recruitment of Jason develop! He is a great football player, and we can’t help but imagine what it would be like watching him here… we can surely dream! Bear Down, Arizona!
