Taking over not only in the NBA, but in the ‘Big Apple’, a few former Wildcats are flooding the New York Knicks’ organization, searching for their chance!

All it takes is an opportunity sometimes. Currently making the most of their opportunities, are former Wildcats Allonzo Trier, Kadeem Allen and now Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

As we should all be familiar with by now, Trier was not drafted, and has been quite the surprise for most fans who didn’t know much about him entering the year. Since making his debut on October 17 against the Atlanta Hawks, the un-drafted rookie has taken the league by storm.

Technically a two-way contract player, Trier has since renegotiated a deal, is seeing a healthy role and is averaging 9.8 points per game on a team with just 10-wins.

Now also in New York is former Wildcat guard a teammate to Trier, Kadeem Allen.

A gritty and tough defender in the Arizona back court, Allen has made his way to the bright lights, continuing to do what he does best, prove people wrong!

Having spent part of the 2017-18 season with the Boston Celtics and most of it with the Maine Red Claws (Boston’s G-League affiliate), he has since transitioned to the Knicks’ organization.

After being released by the squad in October of 2018, Allen had been playing for the Westchester Knicks.

On January 14, 2019, Allen signed a two-way contract with the Knicks, and has since been playing with the team, with a growingly increased role.

Allen has now appeared in eight games for the Knicks, with his new career high coming on Monday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The fiesty guard finished the game with 25 points, six assists and three rebounds.

Now joining them in the organization, is former Wildcat guard, Parker Jackson-Cartwright. While his road to the NBA won’t necessarily be easy, nonetheless, he joins his other, fellow Wildcats in coming to the ‘Big Apple’ looking for his chance.

On Monday, it was announced that PJC will be joining the Westchester Knicks!

It’s worth noting, that after being drafted by the Raptors 905 (the Toronto Raptors’ G-League affiliate), PJC hasn’t made an appearance with the club.
