After tremendous senior seasons by Green and Mannion, fittingly and not surprisingly, the two were selected to the West squad of the 2019 McDonald’s All-American team. A great feat for the both of them, the two joined a long list of former Wildcats who have made the team over the years.

Finally on Wednesday night in Atlanta, the two long-time friends and future teammates suited-up one last time as high school athletes. Together, Green and Mannion competed against the East squad, ladened with fellow All-Americans.

While competing against some of the nations best talent, it’s really hard to distance yourself. Nonetheless, the two performed admirably, showcasing the talent that is making many Arizona fans dream for 2019-20 to come sooner!

As the West battled and lost by a 115-100 final, Green and Mannion finished the game with eight points each. Both played 14 and 15 minutes respectively, also dishing out two assists each and gaining one steal.

We even got to see this fancy future Wildcat-to-future Wildcat connection, as Nico dished the assist to a Green reverse finish at the rim!

We anticipate to see this happening plenty next year, when these two finally team up in Tucson! Although the two didn’t steal the show, they definitely made us fans exciting for next season!

We expect big things, as the two are already looking to deliver a deep tournament run!
