Jason Gardner was the point guard for the 2001 Arizona Basketball finals team which lost to Duke. Gardner played along with Luke Walton, Channing Frye who just announced his retirement from the NBA, Isaiah Fox, and Salim Stoudamire to name a few.

Gardner did not get drafted, go figure, but he did find success overseas. In Germany, he was an All-Star and earned the 2009 regular season MVP of the German Basketball Bundesliga team.

After his playing career, Gardner’s coaching career took off. Coaching for  Loyola University Chicago and then joining Josh Pastner’s staff at the University of Memphis, Gardner is now the Head coach of IUPUI.
