Honorable Mentions

Current NBA Assistant Coach Matt Brase, grandson of Lute Olson, started his coaching career at Arizona and took his talents to Grand Canyon University. From there he was hired as the Houston Rockets Development Coach, then he took on the Head Coach position for the Rockets Affiliate Rio Grande Vipers winning the D-League Championship in 2013.

Current NBA G-League Coach Joseph Blair makes our honorable mention. Blair has developed several players on his Rio Grand Vipers team (Houston Rockets Affiliate) elevating their game for 10-day and two-way NBA Contracts. Served as Assistant Coach to Matt Brase earning a D-League Championship in 2013.

Current NBA Assistant coaches Jesse Mermuys and Isaiah Fox for the Los Angeles Lakers working for Luke Walton.

Josh Pastner not only was on the 1997 Championship team, but he has also been a prominent NCAA coach for years now with Georgia Tech and previously with Arizona and Memphis.
