Michael Dickerson is one of the hero’s to Arizona Basketball as he won the 1997 national championship Jason Terry, Mike Bibby, and Miles Simon. He was drafted 14th overall in the 1998 NBA Draft and spent four years in the NBA to the Houston Rockets.

With the Rockets, Dickerson earned a spot on the All-Rookie 2nd Team and led the league with 50 games played in a season. Also in his first year, he ranked sixth in three-point field goal percentage at 43.3%.

Dickerson was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies (now Memphis Grizzlies), not his choice, and started in all 88 games in his second season. Injury prone, he had to retire early in 2003 but staged a comeback in 2008 with the Cavs. After being waived he traveled overseas and played in Spain among other countries.
