Undrafted coming out of college, Shakur has bounced around the world. Starting with playing professionally overseas, he has played for five G-League teams and spent one season with the Washington Wizards in 2011.

Coming out of high school, Shakur was a McDonald’s All-American and made the All-Freshman team at Arizona. In his sophomore year, he was named a member of the preseason Naismith Award watch list. Also in his Junior year, he racked up 455 career assists and was the only Wildcat to start every game played that season. He proved he was a legitimate distributor when he ranked No. 1 in assists per game in his senior year averaging 6.9.
