Former Arizona Wildcat and NBA veteran Andre Iguodala is still performing at a high level for the Golden State Warriors.

After 15 seasons in the NBA, former Arizona Wildcat Andre Iguodala is still producing at a high level for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA playoffs. What he has been able to do this past season and in the playoffs is a testament tothe work he has put in on and off the court. Don’t tell this 35 year old he is too old and can’t play anymore. He may be older then most in the NBA, but still kickin butt!

In his sixth season with the Warriors, he has been mainly used as a bench player. Over the course of these last six seasons in the NBA, in the 350 games played he has only started in 21 of those. Reason for that is because the Warriors team has been stacked full of some of the greats currently playing the game of basketball and still is.

More from Arizona Wildcats

Known for his defense and throwing it down with some big dunks, Iguodala has not shied away from stepping up huge during playoff time. During the first round against the Los Angeles Clippers, he came up with big defense plays and also put up solid offensive numbers. In Game 6, he had 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 27 minutes of play, helping the Warriors advance to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Listed at 6 foot 6 and 215 pounds, Iguodala uses all of his 6 foot 11 wingspan to cause havoc on both ends of the court. Having such a ridiculous wingspan, when he gets the opportunity to take it to the rim and slam it, he doesn’t disappoint!

For the season, Iguodala has averaged 5.7 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 3.2 assists per game. In the playoffs, he is averaging 12 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game. It is amazing to watching someone compete and put up the numbers that Iguodala has after 15 seasons in the NBA.

During his NBA career, he has played for 3 different teams:  8 seasons with the 76ers, 1 with Nuggets and 6 with the Warriors. His career average is 12.1 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game and 4.4 assists per game. Igudola has had one of the most successful careers that a Wildcat has had in the NBA. He is a three time NBA Champion, NBA finals MVP in 2015, NBA All-Star and was even a NBA All-Defense First Team in 2014.

At Zona Zealots, we would like to congratulate former Arizona basketball star Andre Iguodala on his performance and making an impact in the 2019 NBA Playoffs. Throw it down Iggy and Bear Down, Arizona!
