FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Looking to defend their National title, the Arizona Women’s Golf team is showing the magic at the 2019 NCAA Tournament!

Heating up at the right time again is the Arizona Women’s Golf team! For those needing a refresher, the Wildcats came into the NCAA Tournament last year a bit underrated, but playing their best golf of the season!

Getting some big time upsets along the way, the Wildcats played their way to a National Championship!

Well, once again, the Arizona Wildcats are ‘Bearing Down’ and at the right time too! All the way in Fayetteville, AR at The Blessings Golf Course, the Wildcats are steadily making their way through the NCAA postseason!

After getting into the NCAA Quarterfinals, Arizona kicked off Tuesday’s action against conference rival, USC Trojans. Squaring off in match play style, the Wildcats took on the Trojans on Tuesday hoping to come away victorious.

The Wildcats would begin the day with Arizona sophomore Yu-Sang Hou taking on USC’s Malia Nam. Just one of five total matches, USC would take the lead 1-0, when Nam would beat Hou three-and-two.

Bianca Pagdanganan and Ya Chun Chang would come up big for the Cats winning two-and-one in both matches to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead!

That would set-up for Arizona’s Haley Moore! The hero that helped to deliver the 2018 National Championship for the Wildcats, would once again come up in the clutch for the Cats!

Tied through much of her match against USC’s Gabriela Ruffels, Moore would sink a BIG TIME putt to sink Ruffels and deliver the quarterfinal victory for the Cats.

As Moore would get the one-up win, Arizona would get the 3-2 victory over the Trojans, and now advance to the NCAA Semi-finals!

With the win, Arizona will take on the No. 2-seeded Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday afternoon! Should they win that match, Arizona would potentially take on the winner Wake Forrest and Auburn.
