Another year, another NBA Finals appearance for the Wildcat-ladened Golden State Warriors, as the squad makes it’s fifth-straight championship!

Wildcats and winning, what could be sweeter? Well, honestly not much, and once again with the NBA Finals soon upon us, the Wildcat-ladened Warriors are in a great position to win again!

For those not paying attention, the Golden State Warriors were yet again favorites to win the NBA Championship entering the playoffs. After dispatching the Los Angeles Clippers, the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers in three-straight series, the Warriors are advancing to the finals again!

Can you say dynasty? Well, you better believe it!

However, more importantly, behind the immense amount of success, are a few, key pieces crucial to the success of the Warriors’ organization! Those pieces of course are Wildcats!

With former Wildcat and current Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr coaching in his fifth-straight NBA Championship, also joining him are former Wildcats Bruce Fraser (assistant coach), and big-time role player and defensive stalwart, Andre Iguodala.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be!

Former Wildcats have been dominating the NBA for quite some time now, and once again they are dominating the NBA Finals.

Should the Warriors win against the Toronto Raptors (and let’s face it, it’s most likely going to happen), this will be their fourth championship in five years. Now that’s dominance!

As the Warriors head into the finals this year, they will undoubtedly be led by superstar guard Steph Curry and hopefully a healthy Kevin Durant, people can’t forget about our Wildcats that also have a rather large role to the Warriors’ success.

Either way, it’s great, continued exposure for the Arizona Basketball program and only highlights the success of ‘A Players Program’ beyond the collegiate level!

Watch Kerr as he talks about his team and the upcoming finals appearance!

At Zona Zealots, we’re happy for our Wildcats, and wish them nothing but continued success as they contend for another title! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
