Arizona Football picks up offensive lineman in the class of 2020!
It’s been a while since the Arizona Football team last picked up a commitment in the class of 2020, but the Wildcats have added a Missouri lineman!
Good things are brewing on the recruiting trail for the Arizona Football team, and weeks after last getting any sort of recruiting action, the Wildcats have now gained their third commit in the class!
Meet 2020 commit Josh Baker, the three-star center from Eureka Senior High School from Eureka, MO!

Standing a massive, 6-feet-3-inches and 280 pounds, Baker becomes the third commit for 2020, and he’s a solid pick up for Arizona! Playing mostly center, he’s ranked as the 21st at his position overall in the class!
Well on Friday morning, Baker made his announcement via social media, officially picking the Wildcats over offers from Illinois, Navy, Arkansas State and Kansas among others.
While he does indeed become that third commit, he is a solid one!
For one, he’s the first lineman taken in the class and as we should all be familiar with by now, it’s that you can never have enough offensive lineman! Plus, he’s a center, arguably the most important position along the offensive line.
Again rated as the No. 21 overall center, he’s also considered the 24th ranked player in the state of Missouri, and the No. 1,264 player overall!

From looking at his tape, there is a lot to like about this young player!
For one, he mostly lines up at center, and boy does he do a terrific job. Baker shows great athleticism coming out of his stance, and getting to his block.
It looks like Baker’s coaches like to have him pull and get out to that next level! He plays with a coveted ferocity and shows great balance and position when engaging in blocks.
He’s big, strong and moves rather well and it shows in his blocking abilities. He shows good footwork in his pass protections, but tends to excel more in his run blocking, absolutely punishing his opponents.
