Adding more size to the class of 2020, the Arizona Football team added another solid piece to the class three-star, Florida-area offensive lineman!

The Wildcats are heating up! Adding more and more players to the class of 2020, the Arizona Football team received their fifth commitment in three-star, Florida-area offensive lineman!

Meet Woody Jean, the 6-foot-4-inch 287 pound offensive tackle from Deerfield Beach High School (Deerfield Beach, FL).

Considered the No. 117 overall offensive tackle in the class, as well as the No. 160 overall prospect from the talent-rich state of Florida, Jean decided to make his commitment to the Wildcats via social media.

Picking Arizona over offers from Indiana, Syracuse, Temple and South Florida among others, as we stated, Jean becomes the fifth commitment in the class of 2020 for Arizona, but perhaps more importantly, he becomes the third offensive lineman to have committed to the Cats!

As we’re learning so far, it’s that this coaching staff is recruiting size, and is definitely making the offensive and defensive lines a huge priority moving forward. Which in all honesty, is a bit refreshing since Arizona has lacked some size these past few years, but most notably, these are two extremely important areas within football that can’t be overlooked.

Disregard the offer sheet of a player like Jean, just take a look at his film, that should be more indicative of the player he is and could potentially be.

First off, he possesses quite a few of the intangibles that you can’t teach like; size, athleticism and high football IQ. Jean possesses all those things!

A standout athlete at the talented Deerfield Beach High School, there’s a lot of things to like about Jean.

For one, he’s strong and athletic, which are great skills to have as an offensive lineman. From his film, he tends to excel more in pass blocking, but does a solid job finding his man and burying them!

He sometimes can play a little tall, but makes up for it with good footwork, and overall possesses good, raw blocking ability! With a little polishing, he can make for a solid offensive lineman, and one the Wildcats should be happy about!

At Zona Zealots, we’re excited for the addition of Woody and can’t wait until he comes to Arizona! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
