Although Arizona Football doesn’t have a rich tradition, there have been numerous talented players over the years, and we happen to rank the Top 7 quarterbacks all-time!
We’ve had over 100 years of Arizona Football, and although we aren’t a program at the level of the Alabama’s or Ohio State’s, we’ve certainly seen our fair share of memorable moments.
We lack a rich, football tradition, however, it’s still a sport that is rather important to us, and we appreciate the history of this program, even celebrating the successes along the way!
Success like dominating ASU in the 1930s and 80s, winning some pretty big bowl games along the way (1994 Fiesta Bowl in particular), the Desert Swarm Era and turning out some rather good players as well!
When looking at the overall history of the program, you can’t help but notice that the Wildcats have turned out some great players and some great professionals that have gone on to do amazing things.
Not typically known for producing the best NFL talent at quarterback, there have still been a number of impressive hurlers to come out of Tucson! Infamous names like; Nick Foles, Willie Tuitama, Eddie Wilson, Keith Smith, Anu Solomon, and even Dan White among numerous others.
At Zona Zealots, we tried creating a list, ranking our Top Seven (actually eight) quarterbacks of all-time, accounting for different things like; program success, career stats (to a degree) and overall value to the program.
It was tough to keep to just what we have, but with that said, here is our Top Quarterback list, starting with our Honorable Mention selection!
