Soon coming to an Arizona Football Stadium near you, are more enhancements to improve the overall experience for Wildcat fans at the games.

If there’s one thing that’s for certain, it’s that Athletic Director Dave Heeke is showing he’s committed to improving the overall fan experience for the Arizona Football program.

It’s certainly been long overdue, but nonetheless it’s a change that should be welcomed by fans, and will hopefully bring more excitement and attraction to the games.

So far, we’ve seen improvements all across the Athletic Department everywhere. From the building of the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center, the rebuild of Rita Hillenbrand Stadium for softball, to the renovations made to the East Side of Arizona Stadium last year, progress is being made.

Just weeks ago, it was announced renovations would be coming to the Skybox, the premium, club-seating area on the West Side of the stadium.

Those upgrades/ renovations would include;

  • An overall face lift to the area
  • Upgraded beverage service with beer and wine being available to purchase
  • A pregame buffet
  • An improved sound system
  • Better television displays
  • And improved hospitality areas

Much-needed, since Arizona definitely has to make sure they’re providing the best experience for their fans everywhere in the stadium.

But according to the school, more changes are coming for the 2019 season and beyond! Those changes would be;

Improved Television Displays and Audio, with multiple TV’s that will be installed in the concourse areas to ensure fans aren’t disconnected from the game when leaving their seats

Improved Bathrooms: The port-a-potties on the ground level are being replaced with first-class restroom trailers

Lighting: Soft lighting will be added around the concourses to brighten the area

West Side Fan Area: A festival area on the ground level will be a new experience for fans this season. The area will serve as a great spot to enjoy food and drinks while watching the game on new television displays

Concession Improvements: We’re working with the UA Student Union to bring more local food vendors in the categories of pizza, BBQ, and sandwiches

Increased Concession Speed: More credit card machines are being added to increase the speed of the lines

All sound like good things, and will hopefully bring and keep more fans at the game!

At Zona Zealots, we’re excited for the coming changes and hope that it brings more fans to the games! As always, Bear Down!
