No. 4 – McKenzie Barnes

Position: Cornerback

Year: Sophomore

Size: 6-feet-1-inches | 185 pounds

Stats in 2018: 8 Tackles (7 solo) | 2 Pass Deflections

This kid impressed me last year in the limited action he saw. He looked like he was still about a year away from making any major contributions, but the talent is there.

McKenzie Barnes looks every bit like a Power Five conference corner, and that’s a good thing for Arizona. I do see the secondary being better this year, and think Barnes being another year older helps.

He’s quick, smooth, long and is like a blanket in the secondary. Another year under Kevin Sumlin should do the trick, and I see McKenzie being one of the standout pieces this year on Arizona’s defense. I really think we’re going to see a break out year from Barnes!

Just look at the talent he had in High School!
