As we’ve stated, Brown is a highly recruited, three-star running back in the class of 2020, and a standout at Sterling High School in Houston, TX. Plus it doesn’t hurt he’s already been on campus and seemed to enjoy the visit!
Coming in at 6-feet and 180 pounds, he’s got great size for a running back, and definitely is an important recruit for many reasons. For one, he’s in a hot bed recruiting region, as Houston produces some good football players every year.
Additionally, you really have to like his offer list, as numerous ‘Power Five’ schools are targeting Brown.
He also is at a position that could have some turnover in the near future! This year, J.J. Taylor will be a redshirt junior, followed by Gary Brightwell, who is a junior.
Beyond that, Arizona has no running back commits in the class of 2020 thus far, and really only have Darrius ‘Bam’ Smith and Nathan Tilford as their other scholarship backs. So the future looks a little intimidating at this point.
That’s where a player like Brown could really fill a void for Arizona. As stated previously, he’s got great size for a running back already, and will actually have the opportunity to improve on his size as well!
Brown is incredibly talented and when you watch his film, you can see his electricity! He’s so smooth when he runs he makes it look easy.
He’s equally as dangerous as a pass catcher as he is a running back. Brown is shifty, he’s quick and has great speed in the open field. The other thing to like about Brown is that he finds a way to bounce of tacklers, he’s not easy to take down and that’s a great skill to have!
Brown is so talented he ran for 1,116 yards on 149 carries with 13 touchdowns, also adding another 463 yards through the air on 20 receptions with seven touchdowns!
Just look at his film!
At Zona Zealots, we’re glad to see the Wildcats are doing well in this recruitment and hope they can continue to make a strong push for Frank! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
