Arizona Football makes the Top 6 for four-star DE Jason Harris
Some more good news more Arizona Football, as four-star defensive end and legacy recruit, Jason Harris has the Wildcats in his Top 6 Schools!
Finally there’s more good news for the Wildcats in the world of college football recruiting! After seeing some ups and downs last week, Arizona fans can find solace in making the Top 6 list of schools for the highly touted, Jason Harris!
On Sunday, Harris announced via social media who is Top 6 schools were, and without surprise the Wildcats made the list! Also among his favorites are; UCLA, Oregon, Texas A&M, Colorado and ASU.

While making his final list of schools is great, however, there still is a ways to go in this recruitment. Jason basically has his choice of some top suitors, and it’s not guaranteed he’ll come to Arizona.
We can’t help but think that the Wildcats should have a good chance in this one though! Why are we so confident? Well, for those that don’t know, Jason is the son of former Wildcat Football legend Sean Harris, and his mother Cha-Ron was a basketball star too!
To make it all the better, his brother Jalen is already a standout for the Wildcats on defense! Harris’ becoming Wildcats is like second nature! So perhaps Jason could potentially be a another Wildcat in the family.
We know we’re excited about the possibility!
Jason is a fantastic athlete and two-sport star currently. The belief is he would like to try and play both while in college, since he’s also a highly sought after basketball recruit as well!
I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that Arizona already has a solid basketball program too!
Either way, Harris is an important recruit and rightfully so! The kid is massive! At his age, he already towers the defensive line at 6-feet-7-inches and 220 pounds.
Jason is big, long, athletic and very strong. This past season while at Higley High School, that was on full display, as Harris accounted for 32 tackles (28 solo), 11 tackles for loss, nine sacks (-41 yards) and a pass deflection according to Maxpreps.
Like his brother, he is a versatile edge rusher. He’s a tough match-up on the end, he explodes of the line well, shows a great repertoire of tools/ skills he can use to get free, and pursues the football well. He could really help remedy and enhance Arizona’s Defensive Line woes!
Just take a look for yourself!
At Zona Zealots, we’re happy for Jason and are glad to see the Wildcats still in the thick of it! Hopefully, Arizona can continue to recruit Jason at a high level! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
