Arizona Basketball prospect Donovan ‘Puff’ Johnson sets official
Making headway in the 2020 recruiting class, Arizona Basketball prospect Donovan ‘Puff’ Johnson set his official to Arizona.
Arizona Basketball never sleeps, and for those worried about the Wildcats’ current recruiting state of affairs, just relax and have a little more patience for the class to develop!
One thing that’s for sure is that Arizona is doing well with a few high-profiled players, and one of those players announced that he will be taking an official visit to Arizona for the Red-and-Blue game!
Arizona Wildcats
Meet 2020 recruit, Donovan ‘Puff’ Johnson! If you’ve been paying attention, we’ve already mentioned him here before, but for those who don’t know, he is the 6-foot-6-inch guard/ wing and brother to recent NBA pick, Cameron Johnson.
So what’s so special about him? Well, other than him being a priority in the class for 2020, he recently transferred to Hillcrest Prep Academy in Phoenix… yeah, you know, that same High School where Deandre Ayton played, and the same high school that current five-star commit Dalen Terry plays at.
More importantly, Johnson is rated as a high-level four-star recruit, and the No. 45 overall basketball player in the class of 2020!
Perceived as one of the leaders in his recruitment, Arizona is making more headway as they will get an official visit from Johnson for the ‘Red-Blue’ game.
The news of Johnson’s official became public via social media, and this couldn’t come at a better time! I know fans have been itching for some good recruiting news, and well, this is it!
Johnson is a fantastic and versatile athlete, that’s more of a position-less basketball player. That’s certainly no knock on him, no, he’s just able to adjust wherever he’s playing.
That’s certainly no knock on Johnson, no, if anything it shows his versatility. Johnson can post up and be effective down low, and get to the bucket, or he can pull up and knock down the jumper even from beyond the arc with a solid consistency!
His size, length and athleticism makes him a great fit for Sean Miller’s system! Just take a look for yourself!
At Zona Zealots, we’re excited to see the Cats doing well with Puff, and hope he eventually becomes a Wildcat! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
