With the ongoing NCAA Investigations and now Kansas being notified of infractions, we breakdown what that could mean for Arizona Basketball!

Ahh yes, the never ending investigation saga that is still looming over the Arizona Basketball program that’s been so irritating to the Wildcat faithful. Oh how we all long for the days for this mess to finally be over with!

Well, at least here is some relevant/ good news depending on how you slice it, regarding another prominent basketball program and the NCAA.

On Friday afternoon, it was announced the NCAA has notified Kansas University of multiple, major violations! Shocking? Well, it really it shouldn’t be!

Granted they aren’t one of the main programs that was initially implicated by the FBI, however, if you’ve been following the ever-so-favorite mainstream media, it’s like Kansas is completely innocent, not covered with the same, open vitriol quite like Arizona has been incessantly.

But here’s the thing, for those that are uninformed in the matter, Jayhawks head coach Bill Self was actually caught texting TJ Gassnola, a prominent Adidas rep, and the content of the messages weren’t good!

Self was caught texting things like; “I’m happy with Adidas. Just got to get a couple real guys”, or “You gotta help get me some dudes.”

Sounds a bit sketchy, right? I think so, considering there isn’t anything quite this damning from our head coach, Sean Miller. But it’s not like you would know that, because of the inconsistent reporting, and again the mainstream media would make it seem as if Sean was the one sending these text messages all along!

So while we wait to see what kind of punishment happens to the beloved, KU Jayhawks, this is all relevant, because we are still waiting to see what happens to Arizona.

Now, let me be clear that I think Arizona will see some kind of punishment, but in a very biased way, I still can’t see how the NCAA could punish Arizona with extreme severity. Especially since there are no receipts or legitimate proof like there is with Kansas.

I mean seriously, two years in and do you legitimately think if there is some kind of tape or any extra damning evidence on Miller, it wouldn’t have come out by now?

With the latest investigation news, Fox Sports host Aaron Torres had an interesting take and really iterates the points that Arizona fans have been making for some time now.

While it’s still hard to say what exactly will happen to Arizona, I think KU allegations are again relevant, because comparatively speaking, the Wildcats don’t quite have the damning evidence like some other programs have, and the evidence that’s been presented and ruled on suggests former assistant Book Richardson went rogue and acted on his own.

Keep in mind, that at one point, Arizona was supposed to be seen as a victim here. Miller, Deandre Ayton, Rawle Alkins, etc. have all been investigated and all have been cleared. What can the NCAA rule on? Intent? How can you prove intent without corroborative or verifiable evidence? Simply put, you can’t!

At the end of the day, we all still got to be patient, but it’s interesting nonetheless to see how everything unfolds. As always, we will keep our heads high and Bear Down!
