TUCSON, AZ – Arizona Soccer improved to 6-1 on the year after beating TCU 4-3 to give head coach Tony Amato his 200th career win.

It was another great weekend of Arizona Soccer action, as the Wildcats earned their sixth win of the year, beating TCU in a shootout on Saturday.

However, we must note that the evening started off as a bit of whacky one. As part of a special promotion in order to get fans to come to the game, the University of Arizona was preparing to have a Petting Zoo.

However, before that could even happen, the goats and sheep a part of the petting zoo had actually escaped, and were being chased through the streets of Tucson! Luckily they were found, and the distractions didn’t effect the Cats who came out firing.

Not even two minutes into the game, and the Wildcats took the early, 1-0 lead when sophomore forward Brooke Wilson would fire one into the Horned Frogs’ net to get the scoring started!

Only a few minutes later, TCU would get the equalizer, but that would eventually only open a scoring barrage for the Cats in the second half!

Still tied 1-1 through the early parts of the second half, Arizona would finally begin to take control, especially when senior defender Samantha Falasco would give the Cats the 2-1 lead.

Then it would be junior forward Jill Aguilera who would put this thing away for good, scoring goals in the 78th and 79th minute to make it 4-1, Cats!

TCU would get two goals back, scoring in the 83rd and 86th minute to make it 4-3, but unfortunately for them, that’s all they would get, as Arizona would hold on to the 4-3 victory!

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 6-1, and successfully conclude their non-conference schedule. They will return to action on Friday, beginning their conference slate of games, with Colorado in town that evening!

Also with the win, Arizona head coach Tony Amato gets his 200th career win with the Wildcats!
