Winding down until the early signing period, the Arizona Football program has added another commitment in three-star wide receiver, Majon Wright.

With the Arizona Basketball program having a big weekend against Gonzaga, the Arizona Football program was having quite the weekend themselves, playing host to a number recruits, one of those being Florida-based wide receiver, Majon Wright.

Meet Wright, the 6-foot-3-inch, 200-pound receiver from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Interestingly enough, he will also join former teammate Jamari Williams, who is currently with the Cats.

Rated as a three-star recruit in the class of 2020, Wright is considered to be the 1,298th overall player in the class, the 88th overall player for his position, and the 167th player overall in the state of Florida.

Picking Arizona, Wright officially committed to the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon, despite receiving offers from; Indiana, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville and Tennessee among others.

As Wright picks Arizona, he becomes just the 14th commitment in the class. Unfortunately on the same day that Wright committed, the Wildcats lost arguably their best commit in the class in tight end Drake Dabney.

Dabney, the three-star commit from Cy Ranch High School in Cypress, TX, announced his de-commitment via social media.

As for Wright, he’s an important commitment in the class, as he becomes another target in the receiving corp that seemed as if it could use more targets.

When looking at Wright, there’s a lot to like to about him as a recruit. For one, the most obvious is his size. At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, that is a great size for a freshman to hopefully make an immediate impact, and from looking at Wright, he looks like a player that is physically ready to come in and help out.

From his tape, there is definitely plenty to like!

Majon typically lines up on the outside and lends himself to be a big target, using his size well and to his advantage. He also isn’t afraid to make contact, and him playing in the secondary at Cardinal Gibbons High School has helped him here.

Additionally, Wright has good hands and body control, and should be a solid addition for the Cats here! Just watch for yourself!

At Zona Zealots, we’re excited for the addition of Majon and can’t wait to see what he can bring to the Cats! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
