With signing day here, the Arizona Football program has added another commitment in the class of 2020 with Stacey Marshall, Jr.

It’s early signing day across the country, and as many recruits are now eligible to sign with their respective schools, Arizona Football added another commitment in Stacey Marshall, Jr. to the class of 2020.

Meet Marshall, the towering junior college tight end hailing from Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS.

Standing 6-feet-5-inches and 255 pounds, Marshall becomes the 15th commitment in the class of 2020 for Arizona and addresses an important need.

Just days after previously committed tight end Drake Dabney decided to open his recruitment, the Wildcats were seemingly looking for a solid tight end to fill the void of Dabney’s absence.

It seems as if the Wildcats had the plan in place, and meanwhile the hustle and bustle of early signing day was happening, Arizona was able to secure Marshall’s commitment, and actually was able to get a signed letter of intent from the junior college tight end!

With offers from Akron, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte and Liberty, Marshall felt his talents were more suited for the ‘Old Southwest’, committing to Arizona via social media earlier today!

The addition of Marshall is certainly an important one, as the Alabama-native not only provides size, but also gives Arizona another target for presumptive quarterback starter, Grant Gunnell.

I know with Bryce Wolma soon returning for his senior season, perhaps Arizona may finally be incorporating more usage of tight ends. After all, we used to and had arguably one of the best tight ends ever to play the game come to this school…

As for Marshall, he joins a class that will likely grow significantly over the coming weeks and again is an important player to the class!

He’s big, athletic, moves well for a guy his size and really does a few things quite well!

Stacey shows he isn’t afraid to go up and get the football, his size lends him to be a nice target, leveraging his body to catch some tough football’s, and he’s also a very solid blocker, showing good physicality in his blocks!

Just watch for yourself!
