Arizona Football adds Canadian lineman Leif Magnuson for 2020
Making more headway in the class of 2020, the Arizona Football team went north to find offensive lineman commit, Leif Magnuson!
With weeks until signing day, the Arizona Football team is inching closer and closer to finalizing their recruiting class for 2020. And on Tuesday, the Wildcats picked up another commitment in the class, this time in Canadian offensive lineman, Leif Magnuson.
Making his decision known via social media, Magnuson got a late offer from the Wildcats, and it didn’t take long for him to choose Arizona despite offers from; Syracuse, Boston College, Indiana, Washington State and Kansas among others!

You wanted size? Well, it’s coming soon! Becoming the 17th commit in the class, so far the Wildcats have three other offensive linemen committed, and with Leif now on board, that makes four!
Standing a massive 6-feet-4-inches and 270 pounds, Magnuson hails from Mississauga, Ontario and is a three-star recruit in class, ranked 1,560th nationally and 98th overall for guards according to 247Sports.
Magnuson is certainly a standout player at Bethlehem Catholic and adds immediate depth on the offensive line for the Cats!
Just from looking at his film, this should be a pick up that fans should be excited about. For one, Leif still has some developing to do, and with a year or two in a college weight program, he will physically be ready to play and possibly contribute.
He has a good frame, with good size and from his film he moves well, he’s strong, plays aggressive and a bit with a nasty streak. All qualities you could ever desire in an offensive lineman.
Leif explodes off the line of scrimmage, making great initial contact where he tends to excel in run blocking. He shows good footwork, staying on the balls of his feet and never getting to flat footed, creating more leverage.
Lastly, he has good effort in finding his block, keeping his head on a swivel to see where he can punish the defensive player. He has good, raw skills that look to translate well at the next level!
