With National Signing Day already over for the Arizona Football team, up next are the Spring practices and Spring game to kick-off the 2020 season.

The 2019 Arizona Football season has been over for a couple months now, and before you know it, football action will soon returning when the Wildcats officially kick-off Spring Football in the coming weeks.

While it hasn’t been announced when Arizona will begin Spring Practices, one would think it is going to be soon, considering we’ve now learned that Arizona’s Spring game will be April 4 at 5pm MST.

Open to the public as it always is, the game will be inside Arizona Stadium and will also be televised on the Pac-12 Network!

So with Spring Football soon approaching, why not start talking Arizona Football now?

Starting off, this season is certainly a crucial one. There’s no point in beating a dead horse here as we’re all too familiar with how things have fared for the Cats the past two seasons.

Head coach Kevin Sumlin presumably enters the 2020 season on the hot seat, and the Wildcats need to do some serious winning in order to bring some life back into this team and more importantly this community that is desperate for some wins!

With weeks until Spring Ball even starts, the work is already starting for Arizona and no player, I mean no player should be satisfied with with where they’re currently at collectively and individually.

If Arizona is going to find six wins on their schedule, it’s going to have to be a collective effort from nearly everyone!

With that said, we look at the possible starters for Arizona heading into the Spring Game!

Offense:

Quarterback- Grant Gunnell

Running Back- Gary Brightwell

Wide Receiver- Jamarye Joiner and Brenden Schooler

Slot- Brian Casteel

Tight End- Bryce Wolma

Left Tackle- Donovan Laie

Left Guard- Robert Congel

Center- Josh McCauley

Right Guard- Josh Donovan

Right Tackle- Paiton Fears

Defense:

Defensive End- Jalen Harris and J.B. Brown

Defensive Tackle(s)- Trevon Mason, Myles Tapusoa or Aaron Blackwell

Middle Linebacker- Colin Schooler

Outside Linebackers- Anthony Pandy and Tony Fields II

Cornerbacks- Lorenzo Burns and Christian Roland-Wallace or Bobby Wolfe

Safeties- Scottie Young, Jr. and Jarrius Wallace or Christian Young

Special Teams:

Kicker- Lucas Havrisik

Punter- Kyle Ostendorp

With the incoming class as well (early enrollee’s specifically), it will make for an interesting Spring, and hopefully Arizona can get accustomed to their new coaches on defense!

At Zona Zealots, we’re excited for the soon return of Arizona Football and are hoping for improved play heading into 2020! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
