Days after signing day, and there could be a bit more shuffling in the world of recruiting, and perhaps the Arizona Football team could be a beneficiary!

If you have been paying attention to Pac-12 Football news lately, you would have seen that Colorado Mel Tucker is leaving for Michigan State. The news broke today, and because of the late coaching change, perhaps the Arizona Football team could benefit from his departure.

What do I mean? Well, as you may be familiar with by now, National Signing Day has come and gone for the Wildcats, and the results were rather disappointing. Especially as Arizona finished with the 62nd overall recruiting class for 2020, even with the late addition of Paris Shand.

At this point, Arizona’s chances of expanding their class or moving up in the rankings may be unlikely, however, stranger things have happened before.

Also, with the current state of things in college football, especially with coach Tucker leaving for Michigan State, perhaps Arizona could get some last minute luck.

For those that don’t know, in situations like this, recruits that have already signed their letter of intent could feasibly get out of those LOI’s and pick new schools, especially as coaching changes happen.

I know for us Arizona fans, we certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if one of those current Colorado commits allowed to be released from their LOI happens to be Jason Harris (brother of current Wildcat, Jalen).

Now, let’s be clear that we aren’t saying Jason will indeed pick Arizona, and overall it may be difficult for Arizona to pull off the last minute recruiting steal, I can’t help but think the coaching change might benefit the Cats here.

And with only 19 signees for 2020, there’s plenty of room still left in the class, and I’m sure no fans would be disappointed if Arizona were to be able to add a few more players to class.

Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how this all unfolds, and hopefully Arizona can benefit from the latest coaching changes! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
