After announcing their new partnership with the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl, Arizona Football looks to strengthen their community involvement!

Always looking for continued strength and unification here in the Tucson community, the Arizona Football program as well as the school has announced a new partnership that will be with the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl.

As mentioned, the intent is to “improve efforts in the community” as previously stated, but the bowl game specifically cited the new partnership with Kevin Sumlin and his hosted Football Camps according to Arizona.

Additionally, as Arizona looks to improve their community involvement, as the schools cites, “the goal is also to provide a first-class youth football experience for members of the Tucson community and beyond” as well.

Interestingly enough, the school has made increased community involvement a crucial part their Strategic Plan for the coming year, which will focused around a larger outreach to the community, as well as having an emphasis on “integrity and compassion”.

The school has already done a great job in trying to improve their overall image, and for those that also weren’t aware, the team has done regular visits to the Diamond Children’s Medical Center which is right near campus.

I know for some, this may seem like no big deal, but having Arizona Football involved in any capacity they can is hugely important and even with the current state of things with this program, it’s better late than never.

Also, it’s good to have the fans in your corner, and with the team going a combined 9-15 over the last two years, more community support is going to be important moving forward, especially if the Cats hope to turn things around and hope to get the fans rallied behind them.

Having the players, coaches more accessible establishes a sort of community that I feel has been lacking from this program for some time now, and it’s refreshing to see Sumlin and the University of Arizona making this a big focus! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
