Making more headlines following the Coronavirus news, in a shocking move, the NCAA granted extended eligibility for Seniors impacted by the virus!

Hey, I guess the NCAA isn’t so bad after all! In case you haven’t been paying attention, the outbreak and scare of the Coronavirus has shockingly halted all sports in the United States.

First the NCAA had announced that it was just going to be limiting fans that would be attending games, but then it became more evident that more main sporting events were going to be cancelled!

The first domino to fall was March Madness. You know, the event that brings in nearly $1 billion in add revenue alone every year… cancelled!

However, the cancellations haven’t stopped there. In addition to March Madness, the rest of the Spring Sports and Tournaments have been cancelled as well!

So that means Men or Women’s College World Series, is gone, everything else is over!

All the teams primed for success this season, or were already having strong seasons, it doesn’t matter, because at this point it’s all shut down.

So what does that mean for the seniors?

Well, under normal circumstances, those seniors would be out of luck as their careers would then be over. However, these aren’t normal circumstances, and luckily the NCAA has shown a little compassion during this difficult time.

For those wondering and in a perhaps shocking move, the NCAA has announced that they would be giving athletes another year of eligibility that are having their seasons cut short/ impacted due to the Corona virus!

The move is certainly the right one as seniors who were just getting started had their seasons cut short. Now they will get the opportunity to come back and get a chance to play next year.

This will surely benefit Arizona Softball and Arizona Baseball, assuming the seniors that are able to come back next year will indeed come back!
