Amidst the break in sports action, the Arizona Football team is still finding a way to stay busy, especially on the recruiting front as they give out numerous offers.

Those still looking for some sort of Arizona sporting news during this hiatus, look no further than Arizona Football. Even with the Corona Virus stuff, the Wildcats are still staying busy, particularly on the recruiting front.

I know we’ve already discussed the impact of the Virus, and how it’s halted Spring Football in addition to some recruiting activities. However, the show must go on for every program including Arizona, despite the current limitations.

For Kevin Sumlin and the Wildcats, this will be a very important off-season, as they not only try to turn things around for 2020, but potentially beyond.

So far under Sumlin, the Cats are just 9-15 and finished last in the conference in recruiting this past February. Saying that this is an important off-season for Arizona and Sumlin is a major understatement.

As it stands, the Wildcats have zero commitments in the class of 2021, but it is indeed very early in the process, so it’s nothing to be concerned about at this time.

Nonetheless, the Wildcats will need to turn things around and quickly as we previously noted, as they address the 2021 recruiting class.

Arizona is already under way in searching for their next group of players, and over the past few days, it has surely been busy as the Wildcats have given numerous offers.

And over the past few days of action, here are some of the major offers to note:

Antonio Robinson

Height: 6’3″
Weight: 185
Position: WR
Rating: N/A
Location: Melissa High School (Melissa, TX)

Offered: March 23

Antonio is a big receiver with great length and athleticism. Currently holding offers just from Arizona and William & Mary, this is a Texas-based receiver we see gaining more offers and soon.

He does a great job getting to the high-point of the football and is a solid player overall!

Cole Carson

Height: 6’5″
Weight: 285
Position: OT
Rating: 3-Star | OT: 71 | TX: 122 | National: N/A
Location: Rivercrest High School (Bogata, TX)

Offered: March 23

A big kid with big game, Cole Carson is the real deal! One of the better players in the state of Texas, Cole is already drawing early attention from Arkansas, Auburn and Baylor in addition to the Wildcats.

He plays with a mean streak and absolutely punishes opposing players. I really like his game!

Barrett Carter

Height: 6’1″
Weight: 220
Position: OLB
Rating: 4-Star | OLB: 4 | GA: 6 | National: 54
Location: North Gwinnett High School (Suwanee, GA)

Offered: March 22

Easily one of the best players in the county, Barrett is going to be a tough one to pull simply because he has just about every major offer, but if you’re Arizona, you’ll never know unless you try!

Barrett is a fantastic player that is worthy of a scholarship. He’s an athletic freak of nature, plays with a nasty streak and packs a punishing blow if he gets a hold of the ball carrier!

Easton Mascarenas

Height: 6’0″
Weight: 215
Position: ILB
Rating: 3-Star | ILB: 16 | CA: 34 | National: 393
Location: Mission Viejo High School (Mission Viejo, CA)

Offered: March 23

Another great linebacker out of Mission Viejo? Sign us up! Easton is a big time recruit and rightfully so, as he has great athleticism and play making ability.

Already drawing interest from Arizona State, Washington and Colorado among others, Easton is a very solid linebacker that should be recruited, and based on his film you can clearly see why!

Thomas Cole

Height: 6’7″
Weight: 255
Position: OT
Rating: 3-Star | OT: 63 | CA: 56 | National: 671
Location: San Luis Obispo High School (San Luis Obispo, CA)

Offered: March 20

A big tackle from San Luis Obispo, Thomas is a talented player quickly rising in recruiting! Already drawing interest from Arizona State, Utah, Cal, Colorado and others, he has a lot of potential.

Possessing a big, and athletic frame, Thomas has great athleticism with ability to continue growing and still be as impactful. He’s has great blocking skills , doesn’t play too tall and plays with a bit of a nasty streak you love to see in a tackle!

Austin Booker

Height: 6’5″
Weight: 230
Position: DE
Rating: 3-Star | DE: 37 | IN: 11 | National: 639
Location: Center Grove High School (Greenwood, IN)

Offered: March 20

Clayton Smith

Height: 6’4″
Weight: 215
Position: OLB
Rating: 4-Star | OLB: 8 | TX: 18 | National: 106
Location: Texas High School (Texarkana, TX)

Offered: March 20

Again one of the best players in the nation, Arizona at least has to try. Chances are he won’t come here, but nonetheless an offer is pretty self-explanatory here.

At 6-feet-4-inches and 215 pounds, Clayton has enviable size for a linebacker and is only going to continue to fill out. He’s tremendously athletic, covers from sideline-to-sideline well and has a great motor that allows him to be a fantastic play maker.

And with offers from; LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Oregon among others, he’s going to essentially be able to go anywhere he wants.

Otto Hess

Height: 6’6.5″
Weight: 293
Position: OT
Rating: 3-Star | OT: 172 | IL: 58 | National: N/A
Location: Oswego High School (Oswego, IL)

Offered: March 20

A lesser known recruit thus far, we really like Otto’s size and athleticism. Drawing interest from Central Michigan, Virginia and Bowling Green in addition to Arizona and others, this is an interesting offer to keep an eye.

I would assume Otto is going to continue to receive a number of offers as his recruitment develops.

Otto oozes potential and while there are things to improve upon in his blocking technique, you can’t teach size and athleticism… qualities possessed by Mr. Hess. Given those things, this offer makes sense!

light. More. On Arizona Football Recruiting

At Zona Zealots, we’re excited about the most recent offers and can’t wait to see how things develop in the 2021 recruiting class! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
