With more transfers happening in College Basketball, Kentucky’s Johnny Juzang should be a top priority for the Wildcats moving forward!

With college basketball officially over for 2019-20, it has certainly been a busy off-season so far, as athletes have been announcing their transfers. The most recent, notable transfer being Johnny Juzang.

As we all know the Wildcats have been busy on the recruiting front, especially as they work to fill out their recruiting class by targeting transfers. The most recent transfer that fans will need to keep an eye on is Juzang.

A freshman at Kentucky this past season, the news of Johnny’s intent to transfer became public on Friday afternoon, when the Wildcat wing posted his news via social media.

With the Wildcats already in the mix for a few transfers, in my opinion, Johnny should without a doubt be one of the top priorities moving forward.

A former four-star recruit and standout at Harvard Westlake High School in Southern California, it appears he may be looking to possibly come back West!

So far, it seems like USC, UCLA, Arizona and San Diego State could be potential fits. I know at Arizona, he could potentially be a good fit for the 2021-22 season, assuming he were to sit out next year.

With Kentucky this past year, Johnny appeared in 28 games for the Wildcats, averaging 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. Don’t look too deeply into the stats, after all, since Johnny was just a freshman.

Keep in mind that this is the same player that was ranked inside the Top 40 players in the country in the 2019 recruiting class, and averaged 23 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game his senior year according to Maxpreps.

Should Johnny come here, it’s likely he would sit out, giving him a full year to compete with the current roster, while also continuing to develop.

Besides, if Arizona is going to get back to their prestigious level, they are going to need to continue to bring in depth, talent and veteran experience. Luckily, a player like Johnny would be able to address all three areas!
