Already making moves for the Class of 2021, the Arizona Basketball team has made the Top 10 for five-star forward, Paolo Banchero.

Recruiting is always an ongoing thing if you’re the Wildcats, and with the 2020 class soon wrapping up, Arizona will start to focus more on 2021, with five-star forward Paolo Banchero being one of the focal points.

Considered to be the No. 4 overall player in the class, including being the best overall power forward, Paolo has got some big game with an big offer sheet.

Already drawing interest from some of the best programs in the country, luckily it wasn’t too late for the Wildcats to join the party in trying to recruit Paolo, as Miller and the Cats officially offered the five-star forward yesterday.

Having a list of nine schools that included; Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Tennessee, Georgetown, Baylor, Memphis, Washington and Gonzaga, it didn’t take long for Paolo to extend his list to 10 schools, with Arizona making the cut!

Certainly good news for us, considering Arizona was so late in offering, but nonetheless it’s better late than never!

Being the No. 4 player in the class, it goes without saying that Paolo is a tremendous basketball player with loads of talent and upside.

This past season at O’Dea High School in Seattle, WA, Paolo averaged 22.7 points per game en route to the state championship game, before ultimately falling to Garfield High School according to Maxpreps.

Standing 6-feet-9-inches, and weighing 235 pounds, he’s a big kid that’s going to continue to develop into being a dominant post player.

He’s big, strong and packs a lot of power and strength in the post, and will most likely translate at the four and possibly even the five at the next level and beyond.

He’s athletic enough to take big defenders off the dribble, however, his bread and butter is hanging the post and getting set up for shots inside the paint or out to mid range, or even getting clean looks off the glass.

He’s a player that plays above the rim, is a great rebounder and has one hell of a finish. Paolo is basically a bully down low and that’s something we could use more of!

There’s a lot to like in his game, and you should see for yourself!

Paolo is an exciting player, and hopefully the Wildcats can continue to develop this relationship here! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
