Former Wildcat Rob Gronkowski named to NFL All-Decade team
Following a terrific and lengthy career in football, Former Wildcat Rob Gronkowski has been named to the NFL’s All-Decade team.
We can’t believe it’s already been over a year since one of the greatest Wildcats ever decided to hang up the cleats for good. However, following his nine-year NFL career, Rob Gronkowski may be one of the best to ever do it at his position.
But when he wasn’t spiking footballs, guzzling ‘brews’ or having dance parties, the loud, boisterous and lovable ‘Gronk’ as he is affectionately is known, dazzled football fans with his superior play making ability on the gridiron.
Arizona Wildcats
His time in New England will be remembered fondly, especially as the Gronk put fear into opposing secondaries, as the tight end put up some amazing stats at the highest level!
However, his time in the league would be seemingly cut short, as that kid from Amherst, NY ultimately ran into some injury issues that put an abrupt end to his career.
In his nine seasons spent in New England, the Gronk finished with an impressive 521 receptions, for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns.
So now following a fantastic career in the NFL, Gronkowski was officially named to the NFL’s All-Decade team for the 2010s earlier this week!
Now that’s quite the honor considering the other elite names also on the list!

Quite the impressive group if you ask me! However to us, the choice was simple. When healthy, Gronkowski was dominant!
He finished his career by having four seasons in which he had over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season. He also ranks among the top for most career receiving touchdowns with 79, behind just Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.
If he had stayed healthy and were to continue to play, there’s no telling where his career would have ended up!
