It’s official! All three, Arizona Basketball freshmen are headed to the NBA as Josh Green becomes the last player to declare for the 2020 Draft.

We all knew it was coming. It was just a matter of time before Arizona freshman Josh Green, would be joining his counterparts in heading to the league.

With Zeke Nnaji and Nico Mannion already declaring for the NBA Draft, Green made it official on Friday afternoon, when the Aussie wing took to social media to announce his draft declaration.

While not really all that surprising, as fans I don’t think I’m the only one in saying that we wish we could have enjoyed our freshmen a little bit longer.

All were talented, but outside of Zeke, both Josh and Nico looked about the least ready for the NBA this year, having their “freshmen moments”. Selfishly, I feel both would have benefited in coming back one more year.

For Josh, while he may have struggled the most out of the three freshmen, I do believe he may have the highest ceiling out of the three at the next level.

He’s a tremendous athlete with great size that could possibly guard the 1-4 positions at the next level.

However, the biggest thing for him will be continuing to develop a more consistent jump shot and offensive game. Once he does that, he could be very valuable to a number of teams.

At 6-feet-6-inches and just over 200 pounds, he mostly projects as a three-and-d type of player. Not a tremendous shooter by any means, he has incredible athleticism, is an elite defender and a very capable ball handler.

Josh is a spark plug, and could be a great asset in the league for quite some time. As it stands, CBS Sports has him projected to go 18 overall to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This year, the freshman finished the season by averaging 12.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, while shooting 42.4 percent from the field, including 36.1 percent from three.

Here were some of his highlights from this season:

At Zona Zealots, we would like to wish Josh the best, and hope he finds immense success at the next level! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
