Arizona Basketball received another commitment this week for 2020, so with the new additions for next season, we look at a possible rotation.

Things are on the up and up for the Arizona Basketball team. Just weeks ago, it looked as if there was a lot to overcome on the recruiting front, but miraculously, the Wildcats have responded nicely, adding some solid players to the class.

While we know it’s very early at this point, it almost seems silly to put together a rotation, without any of these players competing against each other in practice, and haven’t even all played together yet.

However, it’s a topic that I’m sure will be widely discussed in the coming weeks/ months, as we get closer and closer to the start of the 2020-21 season.

At this point, it’s worth noting the Arizona is presumed to have 12 scholarship players for next season, and that’s assuming Brandon Williams is back, healthy and playing.

Those 12 scholarship players are; Ira Lee, Jordan Brown, Brandon Williams (again assuming he’s healthy), Terrell Brown, James Akinjo, Kerr Kriisa, Daniel Batcho, Christian Koloko, Jemarl Baker, Dalen Terry, Ben Mathurin and Tibet Gorener.

Technically that still leaves one spot, assuming Arizona were to pursue a 13th scholarship player.

The team will have a lot of guards, not a ton of wings, and decent depth down in the post. Ideally, another wing would be great, but it’s a very eclectic that could surprise some people.

With that said, here’s who I have as a rotation for the Cats:

PG – Akinjo/ Kriisa (will start until Akinjo is eligible) / Baker
SG – Brandon (assuming he plays)/ T. Brown/ Baker/ Terry
SF – Terry/ Mathurin/ Gorener
PF – J. Brown/ Lee/ Batcho
C – Koloko/ Batcho

Not too bad of a group, and I would have to assume Tibet could be the odd man out here that may get very limited minutes, or could be a possible redshirt candidate.

Also think Ben could be the guy that surprises everybody, and be one of Arizona’s better players!
