Making news in recruiting for the class of 2021, Arizona Football has yet to get a commitment, and the top Tucson player has eliminated Arizona from his list.

Arizona Football is in a pretty low place. After signing one of the worst classes among Power Five schools this last recruiting cycle, the Wildcats are still the only Power Five team without a commit for 2021.

While that may be shocking, one of the things that may not be so shocking is that Arizona has been eliminated as a finalist for one of the Top Offensive Linemen in the country.

Jonah Miller, the highly-touted four-star lineman that hails from Salpointe (about five minutes from Arizona’s campus), named his final six schools on Tuesday, and left off that list is Arizona.

For the record, this makes the Wildcats 0-4 in the recruitment of the last four, noteworthy players to come from Salpointe. As you may recall, Bijan Robinson (2020) committed to Texas, Lathan Ransom (2020) is headed to Ohio State, Bruno Fina (2020), the son of former Wildcat John Fina is heading to UCLA and now Miller.

We knew that for Miller this would likely be a tough recruitment anyways, since Jonah literally has his pick of schools to choose from, but nonetheless, it stings just the same to see the top talent in Tucson continue to spurn the Wildcats for better opportunities elsewhere.

Miller took to social media to announce his top six schools which features; Texas, Penn State, USC, Oregon, Washington and ASU. Yep, ASU, that team up north was able to make his Top Six Schools, but we somehow couldn’t.

Look, if you’re reading this and are finding yourself to be frustrated, let me tell you, I’m just as frustrated as you are. Tucson should always be an absolute priority in recruiting, and more often than not, we should be the ones coming out on top when it comes to keep the top players in the city.

Either way, the Wildcats have some real problems on their hands, especially when they can’t seem to secure commitments at this point time, and to me is stems from a lack of development. Look no further than the program having ZERO players drafted in 2020.

Anyways, at Zona Zealots we would like to wish Jonah the best and hope the Cats can turn things around quickly. As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
