Arizona Football: Texas Linebacker Jackson Bailey commits
Already gaining their first commit just days ago, the Arizona Football team picked up another in Texas linebacker, Jackson Bailey.
The first domino fell, and Arizona Football is off an rolling in recruiting. Just days after getting a commitment from linebacker Kolbe Cage, the Wildcats got another one, this time it’s Jackson Bailey.
A standout linebacker from Red Oak High School (Red Oak, TX), the Dallas-area linebacker committed to the Wildcats early on Friday evening, making his announcement via social media, and also becoming the second Arizona commitment for 2021.
Arizona Wildcats
Considered a three-star linebacker in the class, Jackson picked Arizona despite having offers from; SMU, Nevada, Kansas and Connecticut among others.
And from the looks of it, this is a solid commitment. Standing a very sturdy, 6-feet-1-inch and 220 pounds, Jackson is ranked as the No. 162 overall player in the great state of Texas, and is also considered the 69th best linebacker overall for the class of 2021 according to 247Sports.
Already being the second linebacker taken in the class thus far, it’s apparent the Wildcats are making the linebacker position a priority in the class of 2021, and rightfully so.
As it stands, Colin Schooler, Tony Fields II and Anthony Pandy will all be seniors this year, and won’t be here the following season, hence why the Wildcats have added Kolbe and Jackson.
So what I do I personally like about Jackson? Well, with his frame, he’s a big body that will continue to fill out and get bigger as he gets to the next level, and already at this age, he looks physically ready to contribute early on.
On film he also looks rather impressive. Jackson is very athletic, he looks smooth running sideline-to-sideline, and possesses good vision, as he finds and pursues the football. He also does a tremendous job in punishing the ball carrier when given the chance!
Just take a look!
At Zona Zealots, we’re excited for the addition of Jackson and can’t wait until he officially suits up! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
