With the 2020 Arizona Baseball season long gone, the Wildcats turn towards 2021, and they could be a dangerous team come next year.

Well, 2020 didn’t quite go the way many had hoped, especially as the Arizona Baseball season was derailed before it barely got started. Already 10-5 prior to starting Conference play, it looked as if this team was on the cusp of putting together a solid season.

Arizona had a great corp of hitters again, and they seemingly improved their rotation and bullpen as well.

But perhaps even more importantly, the Wildcats added prominent pitching coach, Nate Yeskie last off-season as you may recall, so there was lots of hope for 2020.

Unfortunately the optimism will have to put on hold until next year.

So still months and months away until the 2021 season, that got us thinking just what kind of team we will have.

For starters, it’s worth mentioning that the NCAA will allow any senior to come back next year to play one more season. That could be potentially huge for Arizona, especially for players like; Vince Vannelle, Preston Price and Davis Vainer especially. That’s assuming if they indeed come back. Remember, there is the potential they could get drafted still.

Arizona also has a pretty talented class committed for 2020 that is very pitcher-dominant. Should the Wildcats bring in the majority of their class, and return a majority of their talent, this could be a dangerous roster for 2021.

Also, giving coach Yeskie another year to be able to work with these pitchers, and this team could be quite special.

That’s not including the talented corp of hitters Arizona will have next season as well!

So given what Arizona has returning for 2021 potentially, along with the talent they have coming in, and this could be a team that may make a a deep tournament run!
