In yet another wild story regarding former Wildcat Gilbert Arenas, Gilbert wins the $300k lottery and ends up finding ways to help others.
No matter where Gilbert Arenas goes, it seems like there’s some story about him that will soon follow. And once again, we are presented with another Agent Zero classic.
As you may have seen already, it was just days ago that yet another Gilbert incident had occurred, but this one is particularly heartfelt, although told in a funny way as per usual for Agent Zero.
Arizona Wildcats
Naturally a vivacious and energetic person, the former Wildcat star took to social media on Sunday to tell his story of how he won the $300,000 lottery in the California Mega Millions, and what he did with the money.
As he revealed in his Instagram post, Gilbert admitted how he is actually avid lottery fan that plays it regularly.
However, his reason for sharing the post wasn’t so much to talk about himself as it was to talk about a man he encountered that despite facing his own struggles, showed belief in Gilbert’s chances of winning.
Basically, Gilbert recants how he showed up to a gas station with only $10, planning to use it on gas, so he can get to his normal gas station that allows him to push the buttons on the lotto ticket himself like he likes.
After coming across the struggling man at this gas station, the two strike up a conversation in which the man, asks him for change. After conversing and offering $5, the man ultimately told Gilbert to keep the money and use it for gas so he can get to where he needs to go, however if he wins, “hook me up with $20!” as per Gilbert’s post.
Well as fate would have it, Gilbert actually didn’t make it to the gas station in time, but luckily the owner bought a ticket for him and used his numbers.
Not knowing this had happened, Gilbert was shocked when he later found out he actually won the lottery! He revealed how he initially thought he was being scammed.
Being true to his word, Gilbert went back to that same gas station where he encountered that man, and gave him his cut. Arenas did decline to say just how much he gave the man (mostly for his own safety).
