The 2020 Arizona Basketball recruiting class was virtually done, but Sean Miller and the Cats had one more surprise, adding Lithuanian forward Azuolas Tubelis.

Arizona Basketball is going to look really different next year, as the Cats have added their sixth and seventh commitments in Lithuanian forward, Azuolas Tubelis and brother, Tautvilas Tubelis, a 6-foot-6 wing according to 247Sports’ Evan Daniels.

247Sports’ Jason Scheer helped to break the news on Wednesday morning via social media, announcing that Tubelis has in fact committed to Arizona.

And for those that don’t know who Azuolas is, please do yourself a favor and become familiar with him quickly!

Standing 6-feet-8-inches and roughly 215 pounds, Azuloas may be the best international prospect that is going the college route, and reportedly drew interest from Wake Forest and Kentucky among others said 247’s Daniels.

Azuloas is a standout forward with Rytas Vilnius in Lithuania and boy is he going to be a great addition.

While at the 2019 FIBA U18 European Championship, Azuolas put up an impressive 14.9 points and 12.6 rebounds.

He is a talented forward with a solid frame that will certainly continue to fill out once he reaches the next level.

On film he plays with a high IQ, overall he looks to have a great feel for the game and can beat you a number of ways while on the floor. He can drive, he can pull up and shoot, or post up and finish around the basket. He’s very gifted and is also a very good rebounder. There’s a lot to like in his game here!

With the commitment for the Tubelis brothers, they will join Dalen Terry, Tibet Gorener, Kerr Kriisa, Daniel Batcho and Ben Mathurin in addition to the incoming transfers of Jordan Brown, Terrell Brown and James Akinjo.

Sean Miller and Arizona deserve a lot of credit for reloading this roster, and it’ll be interesting to see how this group meshes and performs next season!
