The 2020 Arizona Basketball recruiting class is believed to be devoid of any one-and-done’s, however, incoming freshman Dalen Terry other ideas.
We thought that maybe the days of one-and-done’s for Arizona Basketball we’re going to be soon dwindling, especially as the Wildcats signed a talented class seemingly of players that may be around awhile, including the talented incoming freshman, Dalen Terry.
Perhaps the ‘crown jewel’ of the class, Terry is the four-star, Top 50 prospect from Phoenix who even though is talented, may still have some development to go through.
Arizona Wildcats
He has a long and lengthy frame that allows him to be versatile at multiple positions, however, at 6-feet-7-inches and weighing just under 190 pounds, he may need to fill out more, especially as he reaches the next level and competes with better competition.
Well, despite all that, and him being unproven at the collegiate level, some are not expecting him to be a one-and-done type of player. It’s just that Dalen may have other ideas.
In an interview with ArizonaVarsity.com, Dalen revealed that “In college I want to win a National Championship and become a one-and-done prospect.”
Will that actually happen? Who knows, and can’t fault the kid for having very lofty goals, after all, many other recruits have this goal too.
However, we must admit it is very early in his career, and we don’t know how Terry will play or perform until he actually gets on the court and starts playing for Arizona.
But perhaps he could surprise, just as many others have done at Arizona before. Heck, I don’t think everyone thought Zeke Nnaji would be a one-and-done, but look how dominant he was!
The thing I like about him is his size and versatility. He’s a good ball handler, he has great vision and is a great play maker. He has the skills and versatility to guard multiple positions and has a lot of upside! Those kind of things are coveted in wings in the NBA.
Here’s a reminder of just how good he is!
At Zona Zealots, we’re excited to see Dalen finally step foot on campus and can’t wait to see what he brings to this team! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
