With former Wildcat Jason Terry becoming an assistant coach, reparations between Arizona and Sean Miller already took place awhile ago.

It’s been over two years since former Wildcat Jason Terry tweeted Arizona should “clean house”, following the ESPN story that broke regarding Sean Miller allegedly being on tape discussing payment to Deandre Ayton.

As we all know now, it’s that that story has been proven false and debunked time and time again. Nonetheless, it’s a story often referred to by many people that negatively speak out against Arizona Basketball.

Heck, it stirred up so much controversy even the beloved Terry let his emotion be known! Luckily it’s been some time, and the air has been cleared.

Just as Terry was officially hired as an assistant with the Wildcats just a week ago, it seems like he and Miller have had numerous discussions since that tweet.

In his first press conference since being announced as an assistant coach, Terry had cleared the air on the tweet as the Arizona Daily Star notes.

"“I can’t recall exactly when it was but once I realized the impact my statement had made, I had to call him directly,” Terry said. “I told him `Look I’m attached to this program as much as anybody. You know, I care about the tradition and history and all that. It was an emotional tweet and I told him it was nothing personal towards him at all. So we repaired that situation.”"

Certainly can’t fault Terry for being upset, as he is not only a storied piece to this program, but was a crucial piece to Arizona’s 1997 Championship run! His opinion certainly matters.

Nonetheless, we are just glad he was able to repair things and may perhaps have more context on the matter now.

Terry is a rising star in the coaching ranks, already having served as general manager of the Dallas Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, and even coached girls’ basketball at the AAU level just last summer.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Terry apparently already had an interest in coaching at the collegiate level, and even talked to associate head coach Jack Murphy last year about the possibility of joining the Wildcat staff.

Well, it’s crazy how coincidences work sometimes as Terry will now have his chance! We can’t wait until we see him on the sidelines! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
