The Arizona Football team stays hot on the recruiting trail, picking up yet their second commitment of the day, this time it’s Texas safety, Dalton Johnson!

Arizona Football is on a roll! After picking up their sixth commitment for the class of 2021 earlier on Monday, the Wildcats picked up their second of the day, this time adding Texas safety, Dalton Johnson.

Sometimes it takes one to gain some momentum, and right now the Wildcats have tons of it as they have now added their seventh commitment in the class of 2021.

Meet Dalton, the three-star safety from Katy High School in Katy, TX. Ranked as the No. 1,286 overall player in the class, Johnson is considered the No. 108 overall safety for the class, and the No. 200 overall player in the great state of Texas.

Standing 5-feet-10-inches and 180 pounds, Dalton is exactly the type of player that will help to bolster the Wildcats’ 2021 recruiting class.

As you may recall, we discussed what we felt were a few of Arizona’s recruiting needs. With defense being a major priority, the safety position was an area we felt was going to be key for Kevin Sumlin and the Wildcats in addressing moving forward, and it appears as if they also agree!

As Dalton becomes the seventh commitment in the class, he is a rather solid one. The Texas-based safety made his announcement via social media, picking the Wildcats despite offers from; Houston, Virginia Tech, Colorado State, UNLV and SMU among others.

A standout at Katy High School, I really like the addition of Dalton here, as he has solid rather size and is an athletic defensive back that possesses a lot of range, covering the field with ease.

Based on his film, Dalton mostly lines up at free safety and shows great eye discipline and makes great angles to put himself in position to make a play! He also packs a lot of power, able to punish the ball carrier!

Just take a look for yourself!
