The recruiting efforts by Arizona Football have them trending upwards
With Arizona Football picking up another commitment on Monday, the Wildcats are seemingly trending upwards in the world of recruiting!
My what a difference a few months makes. After not having any commitments at the beginning of May, things have changed and rather quickly for the Arizona Football team!
Since May 5, the Wildcats are on a roll, now up to nine commits thus far. The belief is that the Wildcats are trending upwards in the world of recruiting, which is certainly a good thing.
Arizona Wildcats
As it stands, the Wildcats currently have the 64th overall class (6th in the Pac-12) for 2021, with the average player rating being 0.8417. By comparison, Arizona was 61st last season (last in the Pac-12) with the average player rating being 0.8421, according to 247Sports.
Nonetheless, the thing to note here is that it is still early the recruiting process, and there is plenty of room for Arizona to improve on their current ranking as well.
So far, this class currently leans heavily on the defensive side, with only two commitments being offensive players. That’s a good thing, since it’s no secret the Wildcats need all the help they can get defensively.
Adding more talent and depth is vital moving forward, and seeing Arizona being aggressive in recruiting defense is refreshing to see.
To me this class adds a lot of good size and depth, and more importantly come at critical positions like; linebacker, the defensive line and safety. Arizona is also doing well with a few others, making the final cut’s for players like Southern California lineman, Garrett DiGiorgio and Northern California defensive end, Kaleb Elarms-Orr.
Now that doesn’t necessarily mean Arizona will get both players and end the class with a high ranking by any means, but from appearance, it seems as if the Wildcats are working hard on the recruiting trail, and it is seemingly paying off thus far!
At Zona Zealots, we’re excited to see how things pan out and can’t wait to see the Wildcats continue to find success! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
