Colin Schooler named a Top 30 player in the Pac-12 for 2020
With much being unknown heading into the 2020 season, one thing’s for certain, Colin Schooler is going to be one of the best players in the Pac-12!
If you were in need of some good news, well here it is, Arizona’s Colin Schooler is getting a lot of pre-season recognition, and rightfully so! Earlier this week, College Football News released its top 30 players in the Pac-12 Conference, and Schooler made the list!
Coming in at No. 23 on the list, Schooler is seen as one of the few productive players on an Arizona defense that hasn’t had many positives as of recent. He is also the only Arizona player listed in the Top 30.
Arizona Wildcats
A soon-to-be four-year starter with the Wildcats, Schooler has been a standout player and arguably the leader of this defense the past few seasons. Ever since coming to Tucson from the talented Mission Viejo High School, he has had his impact on the football field.
Finally he’s starting to get some recognition and that is not only a good thing for him, but for Arizona Football as well. Granted things have been less-than-stellar the past few seasons, but nonetheless Schooler has been one of the few bright spots, and the more exposure the better!
To recap, in his four seasons at Arizona, the Southern California native has totaled 313 tackles (204 solo), 46.0 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven pass deflections!
Now that is certainly some impressive production! And we know if healthy, he’s going to again put up big numbers!
With the expectations for Arizona Football being so low coming into the season, we could certainly use a big season from him again! And if anyone is going to have a big year and hopefully help turn things around this season, it’s going to be Schooler!
