With Alex Tchikou reclassifying for 2020 and listing Arizona Basketball in his Top Eight, could the Wildcats get another high-profiled recruit?

My what a busy few weeks it’s been for the Arizona Basketball team. After having just two recruits for the class of 2020 as of about two months ago, Arizona is all but set at this point with now having seven recruits in the class. However with high-profiled recruited Alex Tchikou reclassifying for 2020, could the Wildcats find room for him too?

In case you haven’t been paying attention in the world of basketball recruiting, it’s that high-profiled French forward Alex Tchikou (Dream City Christian High School – Glendale, Ariz.) has reclassified from 2021 to 2020.

Taking to social media on Monday evening to announce his decision, Tchikou announced his reclassification, even announcing his top list of schools. Coming in his list of Final Eight schools were the Wildcats in addition to St. Mary’s, USC, Oregon, Alabama, St. John’s, Illinois and Florida State.

Even though Arizona is technically all set in their front court and on scholarships, assuming if the Wildcats were to have the room and Alex actually commits here, there’s no doubt he would really help the Wildcats’.

While Arizona already looks to be pretty deep in their front court already, having a talent like Alex would make Arizona’s front court one of the best in the country!

Standing a towering 6-feet-11-inches and roughly 200-pounds, Alex is very much a stretch four that is a long and talented athlete, possessing great size and length to make him a very versatile player.

He can score at all three levels, possessing a good inside game, but also being able to score from well beyond the arc as well!

Just see for yourself!

Now I am by no means saying Arizona will indeed get him, or that this will work out perfectly, but can’t help but dream of the possibilities.

Anyways, at Zona Zealots, we’re intrigued to see how this recruitment turns out! As always, Bear Down, Arizona!
