As a few Arizona Football players have showed some concerns over the spread of Covid, the Schooler family has shown their unwavering support..

We’re certainly in unprecedented times. As we progress with growing Covid numbers in the state, it very much seems like the 2020 Arizona Football season could be in jeopardy.

As you may have already seen, it’s that the University of Arizona has halted in bringing back any additional student athletes to campus, meanwhile on-campus workouts will still continue.

Naturally, a few student athletes took to social media to voice their frustration and concern, and whether the school/ NCAA are operating as a big business, having little regard for the well-being of the student athletes.

Certainly not a good look, but given the fact we’re currently in the midst of a global pandemic, and you at least can understand where they are coming from.

However, also within the outspoken group has been the Schooler family.

Perhaps lost in the commotion that’s going on, Colin and Brenden’s dad took to social media to express his trust and confidence in the School and athletic department.

"“We believe that Dr. Robbins, @UArizonaPres, @Dave_Heeke, @uarizona and @ArizonaFBall are doing a great job navigating all that is going on and have the Student Athletes best interest in mind while making decisions. We would not have sent both of our sons back to Tucson, and still believe they should stay if we did not think they are as safe as they can be. We believe that this VOLUNTARY workouts are important and with all the precautions that they are taking are safe. #BEARDOWN”"

Pretty strong backing by the Schooler’s if you ask me!

I know not everyone will agree with their stance, but nonetheless it is interesting to see a different perspective.

Even Arizona Athletic Director Dave Heeke has addressed the concerns voiced by his student athletes.

According to AZDesertSwarm, in a radio interview on Tuesday afternoon, Heeke addressed those concerns, noting that “since the workouts are voluntary, players are welcome to stop if they don’t think it’s safe… If anybody doesn’t feel comfortable, if anybody doesn’t want to be here, any of our student-athletes want to take a little bit of a break, they can do that and they all know that,” he said.

That’s good to hear that Heeke and the school is being cautious, but also being flexible. I for one just hope this can pass as quickly and as safely as possible.
