Why an Arizona Football season will get pushed out
We’re inching closer and closer until the potential start of the 2020 Arizona Football, but it’s becoming evident that the season will be pushed out.
I know it feels like we’re beating a dead horse at this point, and to be honest it seems like it’s becoming more evident that an Arizona Football season happening in the fall is unlikely.
If you have been paying attention recently, we have talked about this quite a bit lately, but now it seems like these talking points are gaining some steam.

Making news via social media on Wednesday afternoon, it’s that the Ivy League schools are cancelling all fall sports at this point, and will possibly reconvene in January 2021.
So with the Ivy League schools already doing this, and the Covid numbers still rising, it seems that we too could be headed to a similar fate.
As it stands, Arizona has just limited athletes on campus, and there really hasn’t been a solid plan at this point that would suggest having a football season in 2020 would be feasible.
Crazy? Maybe a little, but to me this seems like the most likely and most logical scenario, and right now, we’re certainly living in unprecedented times.
Ultimately the student athletes are going to be the ones who are at most risk if there were to be a fall season, so not only protecting them is vital, but also protecting the fans as well. That is assuming that attendance would be unphased.
While the delay doesn’t mean that Covid will be cured in time, but all of this is buy time, but again protect the student athletes. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how things play out!
