It’s a great day for the Arizona Women’s Basketball team as Adia Barnes and the Wildcats picked up a five-star commit in Aaronette Vonleh.

My what a difference just a few years make! After completely turning around a doormat of program in the Arizona Women’s Basketball program, head coach Adia Barnes has a received a big time commitment in five-star forward Aaronette Vonleh.

Making her announcement via social media on Sunday morning, she is certainly a huge commitment for the Wildcats, especially as she picked Arizona and becomes the second five-star to commit to Arizona in subsequent years. Aaronette is also the fourth, five-star player to commit to Arizona during the Barnes era.

A standout at West Linn High School in West Linn, OR, Aaronette is going to be a welcomed addition to the class, especially as she is the No. 38 overall player in the class. Interestingly enough, she is the younger brother to NBA player, Noah Vonleh. Not bad lineage to have at Arizona if you ask me!

So what are the Wildcats getting in 2021 forward, Aaronette? Well, standing a sturdy, 6-feet-3-inches, she is a powerful post and is really going to help bolster Arizona in the front court.

She is quick, powerful and nimble. All things that you would want in a basketball player.

Aaronette has great touch around the basket, she’s long, can use her size to rebound well, and will continue to develop into being a dominant post player!

With fellow, five-star post player Lauren Ware coming in for 2020, Barnes and the Wildcats are really starting to build a talented roster that could continue to be a formidable group, especially after Aari McDonald will run out of eligibility after this year.

Just see what they’re getting in Aaronette!
