With the Wildcats gaining more and more momentum in the 2021 recruiting class, the Arizona Football team has now added wide receiver Tyrese Johnson!

Want more good recruiting news? Well, you got it as New Orleans-based wide receiver Tyrese Johnson commits to the Arizona Football team on Monday afternoon.

Taking to social media, Tyrese committed to the Wildcats despite having offers from; Florida State, Arkansas, Colorado, Houston, Mississippi State, Miami and Tennessee among others, and this is a big get for Arizona.

Coming in as the No. 483 overall player in the class of 2021, Tyrese is rated as a high-level, three-star recruit ranked No. 79 for his position and No. 14 overall in the talent-rich state of Louisiana. Interestingly enough, he will also join fellow Louisianian’s and current Arizona commits Montrell Johnson and Kolbe Cage.

Standing a very solid 6-feet-1-inch and 190 pounds, Tyrese is just exactly the type of talent the Wildcats were looking for at receiver, as he will provide immediate talent and depth there.

For Wildcat fans that don’t know what they’re getting in Tyrese, he is a standout player at KIPP Booker T. Washington High School in New Orleans, LA, and boy he is a good one!

On film you can clearly see that Tyrese is a playmaker. He mostly lines up on the outside, but you can tell that his coaches like to use him a number of ways. He is quick and explosive off the line of scrimmage, he shows good route running skills and will even come back to the football to help his quarterback.

He’s got good hands, he can make plays over the top, or he can beat you in space. He’s elusive, strong and physical which are great qualities to have in a Pac-12 receiver. Just see for yourself!
