With not much known about the European kids coming into Arizona Basketball, let me tell that the Wildcats will have a good one in Kerr Kriisa.

It’s been a busy few months of recruiting for Arizona Basketball and Sean Miller, especially as they’ve brought in a lot of unknown talent. Well, despite some of the mysteriousness, I think the Wildcats have a good one in incoming freshman Kerr Kriisa.

A standout guard over in Estonia, this kid ranks among the top in terms of college eligible recruits that are from Europe. I know that’s kind of a confusing distinction, but basically he’s a very good player with high upside.

Coming in a 6-feet-2-inches and 170 pounds, he already has solid size to be a college guard, even possessing the ability to get bigger and develop more once he finally comes to campus!

In my opinion, this is going to turn out to be a great get for the Wildcats. Already Kerr looks like a good prospect. He has great guard skills, and what I especially like about him is his versatility.

He can dribble up the court and facilitate the basketball like a point guard normally would, or he can spot up and light up opposing teams from all over the floor. In Arizona’s case, I could see him play the two immediately alongside James Akinjo (assuming he’s immediately eligible), and it all likelihood be the back-up point guard.

If you need proof of just how good he is, yesterday when the Estonian national team took on a good rather solid Lithuanian team team in the Baltic Way Cup, Kerr led his team to an impressive, 92-85 victory, scoring 26 point and dishing out seven assists, while connecting on a 8-12 three-point attempts!

Now that’s some shooting that the Wildcat could certainly use next season! If you wanted to see some of the highlights from yesterday, here you go!
