Another week, another commitment for the Arizona Football team as the Wildcats get a commitment from Louisiana defensive end, Ja’Marian Peterson.

It’s another busy week for the Arizona Football team, as the Wildcats go to the Bayou once again in order to get a commitment. This time they’ve added New Orleans-based defensive end, Ja’Marian Peterson.

A standout at De La Salle High School, Ja’Marian is actually a high school teammate to fellow current Arizona running back commit, Montrell Johnson, and took to social media earlier this afternoon to commit to the Wildcats!

Becoming the 18th commitment (4th commitment from Louisiana) in the class, Ja’Marian picked Arizona over offers from; Colorado, Ole Miss, Purdue, UCF and Boston College among numerous others. And quite frankly, I feel like this is a good pick-up for the Wildcats.

Coming in as a three-star defensive end, he is the No. 1,214 overall player in the class, the No. 75 overall strongside defensive end and the No. 38 player overall from the talent-rich state of Louisiana.

And aside from him addressing an obvious position of need for Arizona, Ja’Marian is a very sturdy defensive end, and at 6-feet-3-inches and 238 pounds, I love his size already! Plus he is incredibly athletic!

He is going to join a defensive group that has really been beefed up over the last year, and will also join fellow defensive line commits; Evan Branch-Haynes, Alex Navarro-Silva and Kevon Garcia.

Out of all the defensive line commitments so far, I happen to like Ja’Marian the most! On film he is impressive!

Mostly lining up in a five-technique, he’s an incredibly strong and athletic defensive that explodes off the line of scrimmage. He possesses great motor and has no problem using his strength and athleticism to create havoc in the backfield!

Ja’Marian also has great eye discipline, pursuing the football well and absolutely punishing the ball carrier! Just watch for yourself!
